New Lenox, IL (May 20, 2020) — Each year the New Lenox Chamber of Commerce awards scholarships to graduating seniors from the three high schools located in New Lenox, Lincoln-Way Central, Lincoln-Way West and Providence Catholic. The Chamber received a number of applications from each institution. After reveiwing the submissions, a selection committee selected three outstanding students.
“The quality of students we have in New Lenox is beyond measure. Chosing one from each high school is very difficult! That said, this year’s awardees are very deserving. We are proud to honor them,” shared Patty Cunningham, Immediate Past President of the Chamber and Scholarship Committee Chair.
This year’s awardees are:
Lincoln-Way Central High School: Sophia Gambino
College: Loyola University Chicago
Career Goal/Major: Neuroscience with a Pre-Physicians Assistant track
Lincoln-Way West High School: Samanta Reidy
College: University of Tennessee – Knoxville
Career Goal/Major: Nurse Practitioner
Providence Catholic High School: Margaret Grossmayer
College: Franciscan University of Steubenville
Career Goal/Major: Bachelor of Nursing with focus on Labor & Delivery or Neonatal Intensive Care
